Traditional speed tests only measure raw throughput. Our Connection Quality Test performs a comprehensive multi-stage analysis to determine how your network handles different types of traffic.
What we measure
- Latency (Ping): How long it takes a data packet to travel from your device to our server and back. Crucial for real-time applications like gaming and video calls.
- Jitter: The variance in latency over time. High jitter causes stuttering in voice calls and lag spikes in games.
- Packet Loss: The percentage of data packets that fail to reach their destination. Even a small amount of loss can severely degrade real-time performance.
- Download / Upload: The actual bandwidth available for data transfers, measured by sending highly uncompressible data streams to prevent artificial inflation by network proxies.
